Pai was starting to motor in 2009, but we had a problem: there existed no automation tools to transfer sales from our OSCommerce stores to our accounts software.
So we built it, in collaboration with a very talented developer, who went on to extend it to cover all the major e-commerce and accounts software platforms, including Xero and Shopify. It is still going after 18 years!
It turns out that transferring financial records from one system to another isn't just about matching fields - there are endless complications: for example, some systems round by the invoice line, some round by the invoice total and discrepancies can cascade through the system.
Making something simple for the user can be exceptionally complex to develop.
